1920 - 1930
In 1921 Sobhuza was installed as Ngwenyama (lion) by the Swazis and was recognised as the Paramount Chief by the British. In 1922 Sobhuza led an unsuccessful deputation to London to try and regain land for the Swazis. Sobhuza then challenged the legality of concessions and partitioning of the country by taking Allister Miller to court. He lost, appealed to the Privy Council in London a few years later, and lost again.
