Thelotornis capensis capensis   (South-eastern Savanna Vine Snake) (SiSwati: lununkhu) Venomous Description: Key Features: the elongated flat head, slender body and exceptionally long tail Comments: Occurs throughout the country in the highveld, middleveld, lowveld and Lubombo regions, less common in the highveld. Previously three localities listed (Broadley 1983), currently four localities recorded as well as several additional sight records. Habitats:   Rocky ridges and slopes Woodland Valley bushveld
