(Common Slug-eater)



Description:

Key Features: a small head not very distinct from the nec, the russet to dark brown body with grey sides and the pale yellow belly

Comments: Occurs in the highveld and western middleveld regions (rare in the latter), absent from the lowveld and Lubombo regions. Previously four localities listed (Broadley 1983), currently six localities recorded. This form is endemic to South Africa and Swaziland.
