Agrostis continuata Stapf (name current July 2011) (Agrostis natalensis) POACEAE Growth form: Graminoid Found within protected areas Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*): Agrostis natalensis - Perennial, 60— 100 cm high. Leaves flat, up to 6 mm wide. Inflorescence dense, up to c 12 cm long, with numerous erect pale spikelets; lemma bearing short awn from near base. * Where species names have changed, these have been matched according to herbarium specimens quoted in this publication. |
