Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*): Buchnera dura - Erect, up to 45 cm high, stems unbranched from woody rootstock. Basal leaves tapering to both ends, up to 7 cm long x 1,5 cm wide, with few small teeth; upper leaves much smaller. Branching a little in inflores- cence region; flowers rather closely set. Calyx c 6 mm long, lobes a little shorter than tube, narrow, finely pointed; corolla blue, c 1,0 cm long x 5 mm across.
