Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*): Kyllinga alba - Slender, hairless; 30—45 cm high, with several soft basal leaves c 2 mm wide and about half as high as stem. Inflorescence spherical, c 1 cm diam; glumes narrow, pointed, white, papery. Few unequal leaf-like bracts, turned downwards at maturity, surround inflorescence; longest c 4 cm long.
