   hyacinthoides    (Mother-in-law's-tongue)  sikwenga,  sitfokofoso,  sitfokotfoko,  sitfotfokotfo,  umutsi wetindlebe,  umwashanhlola,
      Cultural: Roots to bring back ancestors. Protective charm.
      Household: Rope, twine, fishnets & paper made from the fibre.
      Medicinal: Rhizomes & leaves for earache, toothache & haemorrhoids. Also in pregnancy for safe delivery.
